Gap Analysis as per ISO 15189:2022 and NABL standards
Preparation for NABL assessment: Documentation:
- Preparation of approximately 70 documents and records for NABL assessment
- Training of Lab staff on ISO 15189:2022, NABL guidelines, Health and safety, Sample collection and transportation, Internal quality control, External quality control, Quality indicators, Laboratory information system, etc.
NABL Application Filing: Registration in NABL portal by filling below details:
- Quality Control: IQC and EQAS for the last 6 months.
- Documentation and Organization: Legal entity papers, organization charts, and contact details.
- Staff and Management: Quality Manager, authorized signatories, and lab personnel.
- Accreditation and Equipment: Scope of accreditation, equipment details, and calibrator information.
Pre-assessment of laboratory by NABL assessor to check the preparedness of laboratory to undergone final assessment (Optional)
Onsite final assessment of laboratory by NABL Lead and Technical Assessors.
Closure of Non-conformances by laboratory raised during NABL assessment.
Presentation of all records of laboratory in front of Technical Committee of NABL by dealing officer.
Approval of accreditation and issue of NABL certificate after Annual fee payment.

Gap analysis of the laboratory as per NABL 128 and NABL 155 document guidelines
NABL Application Filing: Registration in NABL portal by filling below details:
- Quality Assurance: EQAS and IQC records for the last 6 months.
- Legal Compliance: Documentation for legal entity and regulatory registration.
- Personnel and Resources: Lab director contact details, equipment specifications, and waste management certification.
- Operational Procedures: Scope of accreditation, record preservation, service directory, and patient complaint form.
Scrutiny of submitted documents by dealing officer of NAB
Closure of Non-conformances by laboratory raised by dealing officer.
Approval of accreditation and issue of NABL certificate after fee payment of 17700 Rs.
During recognition period (at any point of time), on-site assessment (Surveillance) will be conducted by NABL
